Step
Up Flange Plates allow us to
use large runners. We also need to keep
all pipes as close to 33" long and in the correct
firing order. With the steering
shaft and starter motor on the right side
room is very limited move over image
The left side even with remote
oil filter fitted room is still very limited move

The centre pipes are two piece,
six bolt flange plates supplied by Hitech Headers
are used to join the pipes, these plates are perfect
for this application, taking up very little room,
providing perfect alignment of the pipes with a no
gasket seal. This is the only way you can run the
pipes on a torana without modifying the fire wall
severely
Remembering these completed
pipes require no gaskets ,even where the collectors
meet the exhaust system our interlocking flanges ensure
a perfect seal, if gaskets were used it would take
around 3 hrs per side to change
The "X" System 3"
The exhaust gases from left and right extractor mix
in the x section, this evens out the exhaust gas back
pressure, giving the engine a much smoother note.
A slight reduction in overall diameter in the x area,
the exhaust gas speed increases through the x which
helps [slightly] by creating a scavenging effect. The
mufflers are free flowing [chambered design]
