The interlocking flanges are perfect
for this
type of car, no gaskets required and
the gas flow is not hindered by slightly
misaligned flanges
The "X"
System
The exhaust gases from left and right extractor
mix in the x section,this evens out the exhaust
gas back pressure ,giving the engine a much smoother
note.
A slight reduction in overall diameter in the x
area, the exhaust gas speed increases through the
x which helps [slightly] by creating a scavenging
effect.
Note.
The modifications to the watts link was NOT done
by Best Mufflers
The 3" over axle pipes join into a single
3 1/2" tailpipe [all 304 stainless]
By flanging the exhaust system it
can be removed in 15 minutes
