All our custom headers are made so the firing
order is in sequence, while keeping all pipes
in the correct firing order and length
The steering rack fitment and
the modification the the strut towers make
this job possible,but only just...
The left hand side is still
very tight the clutch slave cylinder has made
things even tighter, this pic shows even with
only three pipes in position room is very limited
The drivers side is even worse,
the steering shaft , this pic shows even with
only three pipes in position room is very limited
With the steering rack conversion,
the strut towers modified room is very very scarce
The exhaust system made
for this car is
a mild steel 3 1/2" twin x system, the mufflers
were specially made for this application 10"
x 5" x 16" long free flowing
The "X" System
The exhaust gases from left and right extractor
mix in the x section, this evens out the exhaust
gas back pressure, giving the engine a much smoother
note. A slight reduction in overall diameter in
the x area, the exhaust gas speed increases which
helps [slightly] by creating a scavenging effect
We made
2 1/2" tailpipes finish this system
I recommend 2 1/2" or even smaller is some
cases, this helps keep the sound level under 96dba
[legal] drops the power output but the noise reduction
is worth it,
