For this mustang [left hand drive] the option for header upgrade was to purchase headers from the US. After a few weeks the Hooker Headers came complete with gaskets, bolts and the bracket required to refit the power steer ram a little lower

Before getting the headers ceramic coated we fitted them to make sure of no problems.The rhs fell into position, the left side required the collector to be removed and refitted on a differant angle to clear handbrake cable and chassis rail

From the header outlet flanges back, the exhaust system is 304 2 1/2" mirror finish stainless steel. All pipework bends, flanges have been polished before and after assembly [Tig welding used] The mufflers used are made by xforce

The "X" System
The exhaust gases from left and right extractor mix in the x section,this evens out the exhaust gas back pressure, giving the engine a much smoother note. A slight reduction in overall diameter in the x area, the exhaust gas speed helps [slightly] by creating a scavenging effect.
