Dual 3" System
2 1/2" Tailpipes

This old exhaust system, it was done believe it or not, by a muffler shop here in sydney. The braces between the pipes were put in after this system was first done to prevent the mufflers hitting the diff and the rear sway bar link pins, the car came to us to get tailpipes made to go over the 9" diff The mufflers were so far back it was impossible to make tailpipes without redoing the system

The only good thing about this exhaust are
the Pacemaker Extractors

The "X" System
The exhaust gases from left and right extractor mix in the x section,this evens out the exhaust gas back pressure ,giving the engine a much smoother note. A slight reduction in overall diameter in the x area, the exhaust gas speed increases through the x which helps [slightly] by creating a scavenging effect.

On big block engines we make a 3 1/2" X System

The outlet of the old Hooker mufflers are
flanged for easy removal of the tailpipes
The new tailpipes are press bent 2 1/2"
We use press bending on these pipes
to help with clearance,also a little more
restriction will help with noise reduction,
