The drivers side needs to clear the steering shaft, starter motor while keeping all pipes in the correct firing order and length.
When making custom pipes i always make the hard side first, [most cases drivers side]

 

The header flanges are perfectly port matched then machined finished, with no gaskets fitted all thats required is a smeer
of exhaust sealant to get a perfect seal

All our custom headers are made so the firing order is kept in sequence,
