Removing the original manifold assembly
in one piece was a bit of a challenge.
The manifold is removed this from the top, after
removing the bottom rear engine mount
The exhaust port on the left incorporates
the egr [Exhaust Gas Re circulation]

All our headers are tig welded
With a fair bit of room to play with, we managed
to make a set of pipes with good runner length
with plenty of clearance and easy to remove, cant
show to much yet
With the 1st catalytic converter moved back a
little, we have just enough room for the second
sensor position without extending the wires. This
car run two oxygen sensors one before the cat
and one after, the ecu takes readings from either
side of the 1st catalytic.
The positioning or the oxygen sensors is very
important to ensure correct readings
We used the new xforce system
available for this car, available with a tailpipe
or cannon rear muffler [a little quieter], we
used the tailpipe design [sporty],
[To fit the cannon rear muffler,
trimming of the inside edge of the bumper bar is
very slight]
The cannon system gives a more
sporty look along with a nice deep sound and comes
complete with a removable baffle
The tailpipe system is a little
louder than
the cannon system [tip size is 102mm]
RESULTS
From 91.5kw to 99.6kw with a big torque gain
through the full rev range
